The date that UWVC will re-open for business as usual is currently unknown. We are working with UW-Madison leadership and Madison and Dane County Public Health to determine when it will be safe to do so. We will have essential employees working in the hospital Monday, March 16 through Wednesday, March 18 to make sure that current patient test results and care needs are met.
Our goal is to continue to provide the best possible care to your animals and we are determined to do all we can to achieve that goal. Additional updates as they are available will be posted on this site.

Other specific points to know:
- All patients who are currently on treatment protocols (for example, chemotherapy protocols) will be identified and their people will be contacted with individual plans on how we can continue therapy.
- Our pharmacy will be able to send urgent refill medications out as needed.
Please submit requests using our online refill portal and include relevant comments or notes to our staff in those requests. - Our veterinarians will continue to be available to consult with other veterinary medical practitioners on emergent cases. Our goal is to help you as much as we can and we encourage veterinarians to call or email our services with urgent questions.
