Research Program

Our research is focused on understanding how the composition and function of the rumen microbial community impacts production in dairy and meat cattle. We utilize next-generation sequencing approaches to investigate these communities, including 16S rRNA sequencing, metagenomics, whole-genome sequencing, and RNA-seq.
