Research Focus

Research focuses on understanding the neural mechanisms that regulate breathing and airway function. Using advanced techniques like electrophysiology, optogenetics, and mouse models, we explore how the brain controls respiratory rhythms and develop potential therapeutic strategies for conditions like opioid-induced respiratory depression, asthma, and COPD.
