Research
Dr. Wood’s research focuses on the mucosal response of the lower urinary tract to bacterial infection, more specifically the anti-inflammatory and barrier restoring effects of interleukin-6 and glycosaminoglycans. Clinically his research includes examination of non-antibiotic alternative treatments to repair urothelial defects and prevent infection, risk factors for bacteriuria, and biomarkers of asymptomatic and clinical bacteriuric patients.

Currently, Dr. Wood is a Clinical Associate Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine.
