Research

Research interests are focused on clinical translational research within oncology, sentinel lymph node mapping, and margin assessment.

Responsibilities

Dr. Mickelson is starting the Surgical Oncology service at UW-Madison and is the only surgical oncology fellow in the state of Wisconsin! Her responsibilities include, teaching students and house officers, research, and clinical time in the multidisciplinary Oncology service. She serves as the Conference planning chair for Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology (VSSO) and as a member of the Examination Committee for the American College of Veterinary Surgery (ACVS).

Clinical Interests

Clinical interests surround anything related to surgical oncology, including the use of interventional techniques and sentinel lymph node mapping.
