April, 2022.  We are excited to announce that Jaskiran Sandhu, Undergraduate Researcher, has received a 2022 UW-Madison Hilldale Undergraduate Research Award! Congratulations for all of your hard work, Jaskiran!

March, 2022. Congratulations to Sneha Chandrashekar, High School Researcher and member of the Madison Biotechnology Youth Apprenticeship program.  Sneha won several awards for her research at the Capital Science and Engineering Fair (2nd place in biological and chemical sciences, Society for women engineers award, Society for in vitro biology award) and the Badger State Science Fair (2nd place in Medicine/Health, the American Society for Quality Award)

January, 2022. Welcome new lab member! Robbie Manuel joins us as a PhD trainee in the Molecular and Environmental Toxicology Graduate Program.

July, 2021.  Welcome new lab members!  Marcela Ambrogi joins us as a PhD trainee in the Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology Graduate Program.  Sneha Chandrashekar joins our research team as a rising junior at Middleton High School and enrollee in the Biotechnology Youth Apprenticeship Program.

June, 2021.  Congratulations to Hannah Ruetten for successfully defending her PhD thesis, “CHALLENGING DOGMA: A STORY OF PROSTATES AND URINARY FUNCTION”.  Hannah will be re-entering the DVM curriculum in Fall 2021.

May, 2021.  It’s so great to hear about the accomplishments of Vezina Lab Alumni!  We were thrilled to learn this week that former member Helene Altmann will be graduating with her MD from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  Helene will continue at Pittsburgh in the Residency Program in Psychiatry.  Former Member Anoop Chandrashekar will graduate with a B.S. from Vanderbilt University. Anoop will enter the Vanderbilt University Medical Degree Program in Fall 2021, with a Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship.  Congratulations to Helene and Anoop!

April, 2021.  We are thrilled to learn that Jaskiran Sandhu, undergraduate researcher, earned a UW-Madison Sophomore Research Award.  Jaskiran will continue her project to identify collagen producing cells in the inflamed prostate.

August 18, 2017: Ph.D. candidate Anne Turco is selected as the newest trainee for the National Institutes of Health T32 training grant in Molecular and Environmental Toxicology at UW-Madison. Anne has an exciting plan to examine how environmentally relevant exposures impact lower urinary tract neuroanatomical development.  Congratulations, Anne!
