We provide trainees of all levels with skills and knowledge to compete for high-paying biomedical research jobs. Our team members receive hands-on technical apprenticeships and gain experience in research, writing, communication, and career planning. They author scientific studies and present research at national meetings.

Undergraduates: We mentor BIO152 student researchers, undergraduate research scholars, summer program in undergraduate research undergraduate interns,  and other students who are interested in long term research projects during their undergraduate careers.

Graduate Students: Trainees can matriculate through the Cellular and Molecular Biology, Comparative Biomedical Sciences, Endocrine and Reproductive Physiology, Molecular and Environmental Toxicology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences graduate programs.

Post-doctoral Trainees: We support trainees through the K12 Research Career Development Program at Wisconsin and other funding mechanisms.

DVM, MD, and other professional students: We support trainees through the summer research scholars program, the dual DVM/Ph.D program, the NIH institutional training grant for veterinarians, and other funding mechanisms.  Please contact Chad Vezina for more information.
