Courtney Halbach joined the Food Animal Production Medicine team in October 2013. She is the outreach specialist for The Dairyland Initiative, an outreach program with the UW-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine that is dedicated to providing dairy industry professionals with welfare-friendly housing recommendations and lameness prevention tools through a web-based platform and workshops. Her areas of interest include calf and adult cow barn design, positive pressure tube ventilation systems, and automatic milking facility design.
Courtney graduated from Carleton College in June 2013 with a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus in Food & Agriculture and obtained her Master of Business Administration from Edgewood College in 2018. She enjoys boating, cross country skiing, and hiking.
