(Virtual Event) Inside the SVM: Helping Pets Fight Cancer
January 25, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Nearly one year ago, a golden retriever named Scout introduced the UW School of Veterinary Medicine’s oncology team to the world while sharing the story of his brave cancer battle in WeatherTech’s 2020 Super Bowl commercial.
While our world looks very different today, the school remains focused on providing outstanding veterinary medical education to our students, delivering compassionate care to our patients and making discoveries that enhance animal and human health and welfare.
Join us online Monday, January 25, at 7:30 p.m. CST for a look inside the latest innovations in cancer clinical studies, treatments, and technology at the School of Veterinary Medicine — and how these advancements are helping both pets and people.
The livestream event hosted by Dean Mark D. Markel will feature remarks from:
- Lisa Forrest – professor of radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging, radiation oncology section chief at UW Veterinary Care
- David Vail – professor and Barbara A. Suran Chair in Comparative Oncology, medical oncology section chief at UW Veterinary Care
Following the presentation, we will take questions from the audience via live chat. You can join the livestream here or request a reminder now to receive an email 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.
