Helping people who care for animals
Personal and Wellness Support Services (PAWSS) offers short-term individual counseling to School of Veterinary Medicine students for a variety of concerns. These include, but not limited to:
- Adjusting to school
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Interpersonal relationships
- Family issues
- Self-esteem issues
- Stress management
- Anger management
- Trauma
- Grief and loss
PAWSS services are confidential and free to students in the SVM. Our mental health counselors:
- Provide referrals to other community mental health agencies
- Present and facilitate discussions on wellness/communication related topics
- Offer general wellness support
PAWSS is unable to provide documentation for, or certification of, emotional support animals.
