Award Opportunities
Marsh Award
The Richard F. Marsh Outstanding Graduate Student Award is funded by a generous donation from the Marsh family, and is intended to recognize a recent CBMS Ph.D. recipient or dissertator for his or her exceptional research accomplishments. CBMS students who have achieved dissertator status, or recently completed the Ph.D., are eligible to apply. The Award consists of an engraved plaque and an honorarium and the recipient is recognized at the annual spring SVM Awards Banquet.
Travel Award
The CBMS student travel award consists of up to $1,500 to help offset travel costs to a major conference in the US or foreign country. Oral and poster presentations are considered. Preference will be given to PhD students. Dissertator status may be a factor in evaluating applications. MS students may be considered based on quality of the work, applicant pool and funds available. Travel award money may be divided among several applicants upon the discretion of the Academic Committee.
