For this year’s Dean’s Circle Dinner, we’re excited to be joined by several of our DVM student scholarship recipients. It will be a wonderful opportunity for our Dean’s Circle members to connect directly with students and see how this type of philanthropy helps makes the career aspirations of our future veterinarians more attainable. This year’s program will feature a brief introduction from Dean Jon Levine. He’ll share updates about the UW School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) and the incredible work happening on our campus each day. You will also hear from our featured speaker, Dr. David Brundage, how artificial intelligence (AI) tools can bolster the work of veterinarians.
Featured Presentation:
Bridging Veterinary Medicine and Emerging Technology
How AI tools can bolster the work of veterinarians

The featured speaker will be Dr. David Brundage, an SVM faculty member whose work focuses on utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in veterinary medicine. Specifically, Dr. Brundage is focused on building AI tools to help bolster the work of veterinarians. That includes a model to review medical scans and rank them from most to least urgent for veterinarian review and a collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to study chronic wasting disease, among many other projects. Dr. Brundage will share how his work bridges veterinary medicine and emerging technology, underscoring the school’s commitment to innovation.
