TRIP (the Translational Research Immersion Program) is a “boot camp” in clinical and translational research, targeted at early career academic veterinary faculty, especially those with clinical appointments. It is organized by the CTSA One Health Alliance (COHA).

The 2.5-day agenda covers study development, grant writing success, NIH career development awards, collaborations with MDs and other health professionals, guidance on research implementation, good mentoring practices, and personal advice from a team of successful academic veterinary faculty.

TRIP attendees will also be offered small group coaching in grant writing after the program, in support of any planned grant proposals in the upcoming year.

Registration at TRIP is subsidized in part by a CTSA Innovation Award (U01TR002953) from NIH/NCATS to COHA. This award supports inclusion of specialty-trained veterinarians in translational research teams.

Please join us in Madison Wisconsin on October 2nd to 4th 2020 for a supportive, informative, and fun event!

Registration is now open for in-person attendance.

Registration $300, and the registration deadline is September 1, 2020. On-site registration includes breakfast, lunch and a reception on Friday; breakfast and lunch on Saturday; and breakfast on Sunday.

We will have appropriate social distancing and hand sanitizers in place, and we will require cloth masks for all participants and Fluno Center staff.

Note: If in-person attendance becomes prohibitive for most speakers and attendees, we will convert to a live-stream remote format. This decision will be made on September 1, 2020. We are not offering live stream as a registration option at this time.

Cancellations: A refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee, will be issued if you cancel on or before September 24, 2020. No refunds will be made after September 24, 2020, but substitute attendees will be accepted. If the entire meeting is cancelled for any reason, your full registration fee will be refunded. The meeting organizer is not responsible for the refund of airfare, hotel, or any other costs.
