New Owners at Ponderosa Veterinary Hospital

Ponderosa Veterinary Hospital, which has served the Flathead Valley for over 30 years, was purchased earlier this year by veterinarians Pamela Buchli and Roger Fleming from Dr. Scott Wendling. After visiting the area nearly every year for the past 10 years, Drs. Buchli and Fleming are excited to make the Flathead Valley their home. Dr. Buchli and Dr. Fleming graduated from the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Medical School in 2001.

Genex Welcomes New Employees, Promotes Others

Dr. Catherine Carrier, of Shawano, joins Genex as the director of veterinary services and education. Carrier provides veterinary services and oversight of biosecurity and health protocols regarding the cooperative’s animals. She earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Carrier is also board certified in laboratory animal medicine.

MU Foremost Dairy, Veterinarian Receive Accreditation from Food Armor Foundation

University of Missouri Extension veterinarian Scott Poock and MU's Foremost Dairy Research Center recently became the first Missouri veterinarian and dairy to be accredited by the Food Armor Foundation. Poock joined the MU Commercial Agriculture Program's dairy focus team as the extension veterinarian in 2006. He provides expertise in reproductive management. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and practiced almost 19 years at a Wisconsin clinic before coming to MU.
