The UW School of Veterinary Medicine’s Alumni Advisory Board was established in late 2008 to provide input on the best ways to keep alumni in touch with each other and the school.
The purpose of the board is to enhance the school’s support of and relationship with alumni by providing input on alumni-related activities and communications. Membership on the advisory board is open to interested alumni of both the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Comparative Biomedical Sciences Graduate programs. The group meets meets at least twice per year.

School of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Awards
The Alumni Advisory Board is launching an alumni awards program to recognize graduates of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine who have made signiﬁcant contributions to society, and whose accomplishments, aﬃliations, and careers have honored the legacy of excellence at the school.
Nominations are now open in three award categories:
- Distinguished Service Award (DVM)
- Distinguished Service Award (Non-DVM)
- Young Alumni Award
If you would like to nominate someone for one of the alumni awards, please email a brief explanation of who you are nominating and why they deserve recognition to email@example.com. Nominations must be submitted by March 1, 2020.
