Strategy Team Session 1: March 3-7

  • Introductions
  • Review Process
  • Ground in current state data
  • Confirm and edit strategic direction for each strategy area
  • Introduce strategic objectives

Strategy Team Session 2: March 10-20

  • Consultant to share all strategic objectives
  • As a team, theme objectives
  • As a team, select top four objectives
  • Between sessions: what are the blocks or barriers to SVM achieving these objectives? (google doc)

Spring Break: March 24-28

April

SVM Board of Visitors: April 3

Strategy Team Session 3: April 7-11

  • Ground in identified blocks/barriers
  • Finalize and clarify objectives
  • Finalize wording of strategic direction
  • Prepare for all-team meeting 2

All Team Meeting 2: April 14-23 (90 min)

  • Presentation of each strategy team’s strategic direction and objectives
  • Q&A, discussion
  • Dean/AD will affirm or offer edits/changes to strategy teams via e-mail prior to strategy team session 4

Strategy Team Session 4: April 28-May 2

  • For each confirmed strategic objective, what are the 3-4 key results necessary to make this a reality
    • “we will achieve ‘x objective’ as measurable by the following results:”

Strategy Team Session 5: May 5-8

  • Continue development of strategic objectives
  • Prepare for all-team meeting 3

All Team Meeting 3: May 12-16 (90 min)

  • Presentation of each strategy team’s strategic direction/objectives with associate key results
  • Q&A, discussion
  • Dean/AD may offer edits/changes to key results before entered for feedback

Feedback collection & analysis (APC, AAC, BoV, rDVMs, internal SVM, UW leadership): May 19-June 6

June

All Team Meeting 4: June 9-13 (2 hours)

  • Presentation of all gathered feedback, Q&A (45 min)
  • Strategy team integration of feedback (or develop reasoning as to why feedback not integrated) (60 min)

*June 16-27: Final Dean/AD selection and affirmation of strategic direction, strategic objectives, and key results for each strategy area
