Wallace Investigates Rabies Cases at CDC

One of your fellow alumni is garnering some attention at the Centers for Disease Control.

The CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report features an article co-authored by Dr. Ryan Wallace, a 2012 graduate of SVM. It describes a case that highlights the importance of continued efforts to raise awareness of the risk for rabies virus exposure posed by bats in the United States.

Dr. Wallace is currently working for the CDC’s prestigious Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS), a unique 2-year post-graduate training program of service and on-the-job learning for health professionals interested in the practice of applied epidemiology.
