Printed notes: The overwhelming majority of SVM courses include class notes as a resource. Students appreciate receiving them prior to the class session, so that they can preview them. Although there are many styles of class notes, the key to success is to make them reasonably consistent with the flow of your lecture, and consistent in focus with what you will test on an exam. Simply printing off PowerPoint slides in lieu of a real handout is not the best choice. But if you are pressed for time and decide to temporarily use these as handouts, be sure to put no more than three per page, so that they are large enough to be read.
