Research Opportunities for DVM Students

Faculty and students at the UW School of Veterinary Medicine participate in and advance knowledge in animal and human health through research. DVM students have many opportunities to engage in research while they are veterinary medical students at Wisconsin. If you’d like to engage in research while a student, please explore the options below:

“I want to work as a student-hourly in a research lab on campus”

“I want to work in a research lab this upcoming summer.”

“I’m particularly interested in Lab Animal Medicine research”

“I’m interested in Zoo Medicine research”

“I’m considering taking a year off during Vet school to do research and maybe get
an MS degree”
