Senior Research Specialist
Mr. Nemke graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology in 1995. He first worked at the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District on a project that involved the construction, sale, and personnel training on the BOD AutoEZ. After the sale of the patent in 1998, Mr. Nemke began working at the Veterinary School as a Research Specialist for Dr. Kris Kruse-Elliott. Dr. Kruse’s research focused on factors that affect cardio-pulmonary function. In 2004, Mr. Nemke began working for Dr. Markel in the Comparative Orhtopaedic Research Laboratory. His duties include creating and managing laboratory budgets, writing research protocols, managing personnel, anesthesia and surgical assistance, and caretaking and management of the research animals.
