Research

In 1956-1971, Dr. Dahl was in mixed practice with emphasis on dairy in Clintonville, Wisconsin. In 1971 he left private practice to serve as President of Dairy Equipment Company in Madison. In 1984, Dr. Dahl was appointed Director of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. He now holds an appointment as a Faculty Associate Emeritus in the Department of Medical Sciences and serves as Administrator of the Dairy Health Management Certificate Program. Dr. Dahl is very active in organized veterinary medicine and holds memberships in the Northeast Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the Dane County Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of American Bovine Practitioners, and the National Mastitis Council. In 1989, he served as President of the WVMA and is currently Wisconsin's Delegate to the AVMA House of Delegates.
