Research

My principal research interests are related to coronary blood flow to the heart and the consequences of interruption of coronary blood flow. This interest has led to studies of the mechanisms of regulation of coronary circulation in the newborn and adult heart, the study of contrast agents that allow echocardiographic imaging of the coronary circulation, investigation of processes of myocardial ischemia, and methods for myocardial preservation during pathological coronary obstruction or during cardiopulmonary bypass.

Responsibilities

  • Dean - School of Veterinary Medicine
  • Professor - Cardiovascular physiology
