Research

Dr Brounts is interested in surgical diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract, such as colic, and the intensive care involved with these diseases. Another area of interest is healing of tissues such as wounds and tendons.

Responsibilities

Dr Brounts is involved in the both the undergraduate and graduate/resident teaching in the veterinary program. She teaches students during their clinical rotations as well as during elective food animal and equine surgery courses. She is also involved in the continuing education for private practitioners

Clinical Interests

Dr Brounts is interested in all aspects of Large Animal Surgery with a special interest in soft tissue surgery and sports medicine.
