Certification

Purpose: To formally outline both the course work and research that will comprise your graduate program.

Procedure:

1. Schedule a committee meeting.
2. Outline proposed coursework.
3. Prepare a brief description of your proposed research that outlines your hypothesis and also describes the strategy to be used to test the hypothesis. Also, define how each of your committee member's area of expertise will assist your research program.
4. Present your coursework and proposed research to your committee at the meeting.
5. After the meeting, complete the certification form and have it signed by all members of your committee.
6. Submit the completed, signed form to the Graduate Program Coordinator (Rm 113 AHABS Building). It will be submitted to the Academic Committee for approval.
