PBS 920 and 930

PBS 920

Purpose: To present your thesis work to a general audience and to attend the thesis seminars of others.

1. Attendance:
   • MS candidates must attend 8 PBS 920 Seminars
   • PhD candidates must attend a total of 12.
   • Students are responsible for getting faculty to initial the 920 seminar form.
2. Presentation:
   • see thesis and thesis defense for procedure

PBS 930

Purpose: To present your research in progress to a broad audience. The Academic Committee of the Comp Biomed program recommends that you present at least one of your 930 seminars in the Comp Biomed Seminar Series (CBMSSS).

Procedure:

1. Register for the appropriate PBS 930 or equivalent course.
2. For the CBMSSS, contact the student representative to schedule a date for your presentation.
3. Contact the professor in charge of the course regarding the specific requirements.
4. Prepare and present your talk.
