08/03/11: Fall orientation for new 2011 graduate students is scheduled for Monday, August 22, 9 - 11:00 am in 101 AHABS, 1656 Linden Drive.

08/09/11: Congratulations to Professor and Department of Surgical Sciences Chair Dale Bjorling, recently named as the new Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Training, School of Veterinary Medicine. We look forward to working with Dean Bjorling in the upcoming months.

08/09/11: Special seminar just announced for Thursday, August 18, noon, in 2255 SVM. Speaker is Mary Haak-Frendscho, president & Chief Scientific Officer of Takeda San Francisco. Dr. Haak-Frendscho received her Ph.D. from the CBMS graduate program. Since then she has held a number of scientific and leadership positions in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. In her seminar, she will offer a summary of what decisions and planning led to her successful career path, and offer insights into some of the challenges she has encountered as CSO.
