C-L-E-A-R bacteria: catalase test
The catalase test has already been shown (with the Chart 1 and
Chart 2 Organisms). Of the organisms being considered in this group,
Erysipelothrix and
A. pyogenes are catalase negative; whereas,
Listeria, Rhodococcus, and the
Corynebacterium species are
catalase positive.
