This is a Gram's stain of Actinomyces bovis. This organism is a Gram-positive rod that tends to form filaments.

On blood agar, Actinomyces bovis is slow growing and produces wrinkled "molar tooth" colonies. In thioglycollate, it produces iridescent puff-balls in the lower portion of the tube.
