McGill, Class of 2014, Earns Dr. Jack Walther Leadership Award

Veterinary medical student Samantha McGill, Class of 2014, was given the Dr. Jack Walther Leadership Award at the 2013 Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas on Feb. 19.

Bestowed this year upon 35 students from veterinary medical schools throughout North America, the award recognizes veterinary medical student leaders and promotes lifelong professional service. This year’s recipients received a $1,000 award and complimentary registration, lodging, airfare, and a daily stipend to attend the 2013 Western Veterinary Conference.

WVC has provided about $1 million to scholarship students since the program’s inception in 2002.
