Clinic Sponsors

This fund is an opportunity to say thank you and honor the legacy that remains after I can no longer help my patients—for our clients, I sense closure and gratitude. We will continue to celebrate our relationship by supporting the Companion Animal Fund.

When a pet is seriously ill and euthanasia is the last option, pet owners face a difficult time. As a veterinarian, you do your best to make your client and pet as comfortable as possible. You can continue to show your clients how much you care by making a memorial donation to the Companion Animal Fund in honor of their pet and at the same time help improve animal health. Just submit your client’s information through a form on our secure website and make your gift (minimum $10 per pet) online or by mail.

How does it work?
Your client will receive a personalized letter from the Dean of the UW School of Veterinary Medicine stating that your clinic has made a donation in their pet’s memory to the Companion Animal Fund. This program is a well-proven asset for practices and a valuable means of support for companion animal health care studies at the UW School of Veterinary Medicine.  In addition to building a stronger bond with your clients, you will also receive an attractive plaque recognizing you as a supporter of the Companion Animal Fund.

The companion animal fund is a wonderful way to honor a beloved companion. Our dog, Violet, could not be cured, but we left knowing our questions had been answered and we explored every possible outcome. When our veterinarian made a donation to the School’s Companion Animal Fund, it really touched us. Violet mattered enough to him that he would honor her life with a gift.

What does it support?
All gifts, no matter the size, go directly to fund support for studies dealing with diseases and disorders that afflict animals, and occasionally provide support for critical needs within the veterinary medical teaching hospital.  The UW School of Veterinary Medicine is an exceptional health care resource for animals. It brings knowledge and experience from many different disciplines and specialties to bear on the task of understanding and improving the health of your animal.

How Can I Get Started
Working together, we can continue to improve the health of our companion animals. It is a win/win/win situation for your clinic, your clients and the UW School of Veterinary Medicine.  If your clinic would like to become a Companion Animal Fund sponsor, please contact Heidi Kramer, Associate Director of Development, at heidi.kramer[at]supportuw.org or (608) 890-1230 and she will help you institute your sponsorship.

Thank you.
