Telephone consultations with the doctor on telephone duty are available by calling the Large Animal Clinic at 608/263-7600 or 1-800/DVM-VMTH.  Ask for the Production Medicine Clinician on call.

Herd Investigation Requests

The faculty provide a range of trouble-shooting services related to herd milk quality, nutrition, respiratory disease, calf health, lameness, and facility design.

If a trip to your farm is needed, your local veterinarian should make a referral to the Food Animal Production Medicine section by calling the above phone number and a visit will be scheduled.

Individual Patient Referral

If you have an animal that you would like to bring to the hospital to be seen, please contact the Large Animal Clinic by calling the above phone number.
