Clinical Rotations - Advanced Techniques in Dairy Records and Nutrition

Learn to:

bulletset up a dairy herd health recording system using the DairyComp 305 computer program
bulletmaintain and update the database with new information
bulletgenerate action lists and management reports about the herd
bulletinterpret feedstuff analysis reports
bulletanalyze diets using different nutritional software packages
bulletreformulate dairy diets

This course has two primary topics.  The first is to develop practical skills in setting up, using and maintaining a computerized dairy record system, specifically DairyComp 305.  This will be taught primarily as a computer lab.

The second is to develop skills in detailed, quantitative ration evaluation and re-formulation
