Clinical Rotations - Advanced Skills in Dairy Production Medicine and Well-Being
Our advanced skills program serves to prepare DVM graduates committed to specialized dairy cattle practice with the advanced skills they will need to achieve excellence in herd level problem troubleshooting

Learn to:
- Become skilled in the use of DHI and DairyComp305 dairy herd records systems
- Be able to apply advanced statistical analytical skills to dairy production and health records
- Be able to investigate a wide range of herd health complaints, with a primary emphasis on nutrition and housing related problems
- Use ration evaluation software (eg. Spartan 3)
- Perform a National Mastitis Council approved milking machine test
- Develop advanced rectal palpation skills including the use of ultrasound
- Develop communication and consulting skills
Dates: May 2012-2013 (Current Academic Year)
