Arturo Gomez started the Residency Program in July 2008. He has worked as a practitioner between 2000 and 2008 in Spain and Portugal. In partnership with his wife, Sonia Ares, they have been implementing large animal production medicine programs to bovine producers, mostly dairy.

His career is focused nowadays in calf management and database analysis. In addition he follows the herd troubleshooting investigations and helps with the veterinary medicine student courses performed by the Food Animal Production Medicine group.
