Windows 95/98 HpDuplex Printer Installation Instructions
Please follow all of these steps to ensure that the duplex printing capabilities (the ability to print on both sides of the paper) are installed correctly.
1. From the Start Menu, select Settings, Printers.
2. A Printers dialog box will appear:

3. Double-click on Add Printer.
4. The Add Printer Wizard box will appear. Click Next to continue.
5. When asked if it is a local or network printer, select Network printer and click next.

6. Then type in \\svm_print\hpduplex for the network path. Click next when finished.

7. You can leave the default name for the printer of select your own (ex. "HpDuplex"). Click next.
8. Click Yes to print a test page if you like. Click Finish.
9. The drivers for the printer will now be installed from the server.
10. After the drivers have been installed, the Printers dialog box will reappear with the new printer installed. Use the Right Mouse button and click on the new printer. Then click on Properties.
11. After the printers properties box appears, click on the Device Options tab.

12. Click on Duplex Unit (A). Then under "Change Settings for:" (B) change the option from Not Installed to Installed.
13. Also in the "Installable options" (A), scroll down and click on VMO Option. Then under "Change Settings for:" (B) change the option from 8-11 MB to 28-35 MB.
14. Next click on the Paper tab at the top of the window.

15. Click on the More Options button located at the lower left hand side of the window.

16. Next click on the "Flip on long edge option". Click on OK.
17. Click on the "Graphics" tab at the top of the window.

18. Change the resolution from 600 dpi to 1200dpi. Click Ok.
The Hp Duplex printer is now fully installed and configured!!
