University of Wisconsin Dormitory Housing

REGISTRATION FOR DORMITORY HOUSING IN NOW CLOSED.

Beginning January 1, 2008, reservations will be taken for accommodations in Adams Hall, a University dormitory located in the scenic lakeshore campus area at 1520 Tripp Circle.  Rooms are available mainly as single rooms and double occupancy space is limited; all with ingle/twin beds.  The adjacent Tripp Gatehouse Desk will be open to receive guests beginning on Saturday May 31, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. and will be available through departure by Saturday, June 21, 2008 by 12:00 p.m.

Amenities:

• All bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels , washcloths, and drinking cups are furnished.

• Free wired high-speed internet/digital television connections are available in the guest rooms for your computer

• All rooms are air-conditioned and have a small refrigerator

• Rooms will be cleaned, beds made and towels changed daily (except on Sundays)

• A television is located in the first floor den.  Cable connections are provided in your guest room, if you choose to bring along your own portable television

• Laundry facilities and vending machines are provided in the building

• All facility areas are smoke-free, including guest rooms

Bathrooms:

Guest rooms do not have private bathrooms , but single-gender bath facilities are conveniently located on each floor.  These shared facilities do include private shower and changing stalls.  Men and women will be assigned to separate bathrooms.  Mixed gender couples will be assigned to the same floor and appropriate bathroom facilities for partners will be available within close proximity.

Desk Services :

The Tripp Gatehouse Desk is staffed from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.  Guests receiving calls can instruct friends and family to call 608-262-2420.  Messages will be placed in mailboxes marked with the room numbers.  Alarm clocks, irons and ironing boards are available for check-out on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Laundry soap, internet and television cables and other items are for sale.  Ice machines are located near the hall desk area.

Package rate for June 1-20, 2008:
      $395.00 (US) per person for double occupancy
      $710.50 (US)per person for single occupancy
For those persons who are arriving on May 31, 2008 and/or departing on Saturday, June 21, 2008, the additional nightly rate will be $20.80 (US) per person for double occupancy and $37.40 (US) per person for single occupancy.

All payments are due in full at check-in and can be made by cash (in U.S. dollars), check, MasterCard or VISA.  No refunds or pro-rating will be made.

Reservations:

Participants of the Basic Science Course are responsible for making their own reservations by accessing the UW Housing website at: UW Housing Summer Conferences .

Guests can rent for any specific dates. Rent is prorated to the exact move in and out dates. You can also rent on a weekly (required 7 day notice to terminate) and monthly (required 30 day notice to terminate) basis.

No security deposit is required. At the time of reservation, guest pays $200, which is applied toward your rent. If reservation is canceled 30 days or more prior to the scheduled move in date, you will receive a full refund. You can cancel less than 30 days prior to your scheduled move in date, by forfeiting the reservation payment.
