Research Interests:

Dr. Jarjour's research interests are focused on the pathogenesis of asthma, particularly the role of airway inflammation.

He has conducted studies of exercise-induced, nocturnal, viral-induced and antigen-driven asthma. The role of cytokines and cell-matrix interactions are the focus of ongoing studies of airway remodeling in asthma.

In addition, his laboratory is conducting studies of circadian regulation of airway inflammation with a focus on the role of fibronectin and its interaction with GM-CSF and eosinophils.

Other areas of interest include treatment of airway inflammation and modulation of cellular inflammation using anti-asthma drugs.
