Undergraduate
Training
Undergraduate
students are considered to be a critical component of the lab.
A typical undergraduate student will begin working in the lab
by the end of their sophomore year. Initially the student will
be taught basic techniques such as western blot analysis and cell
culture. Once the student has become proficient with these techniques,
the student will begin working on an assigned project. Under most
circumstances, completing the assigned project will result in
authorship on a published manuscript. To date, over 80% of the
undergraduate students that work in the lab have graduated with
at least one publication, and several students have finished with
as many as three publications. If you are interested in learning
