Setting Up the Tek8200 on a Mac with OS X
***Instructions may vary if you are using OS X 10.2 or 10.3***
1. Go to the Share drive and open the Drivers folder. Next open the Mac folder then the Tek8200 OS X folder. Run the Xerox_PPD_Installer file.
2. On your Mac, open the Hardrive and go to the Applications, Utilities folder. Double click on the Printer Setup Utility (or the Print Center)
3. Once the Printer utility application opens, click on Add. Next select IP printing from the drop down list. Select LPD/LPR as the printer type (you may not have this option with OS 10.2)

Enter svm_print.vetmed.wisc.edu in the Printer Address field. Then change the Queue Name to tek8200. Lastly, go to the Printer Model drop down menu and select Xerox. Choose Xerox Phaser 8200DP from the list.
4. Click on the tek8200 so that it becomes the highlighted printer. Click on the Show Info button. (If you are using OS 10.2, you will have to highlight the printer and then go to the Printers menu and click on Show Info)

5. Once the printer info window opens, click on the drop down menu and select Installable Options.

Change the Optional Extra Trays to One Extra Tray. Click on the Apply Changes button. You can now close the Printer Info window and the Printer setup utility.
The Tek8200 is now Installed
