Setting Up the Tek8200 on a Macintosh

***Make sure you have the Share folder mounted before you continue***

1.  Go to the Share folder on your desktop and open it.

2.  Open the drivers folder.  Inside the drivers folder is a folder called Mac.  Open this folder and drag the file TK8200DP.PPD to your desktop.  Close all of the folders that you opened.

3.  Go to your local hard drive and find the System Folder. Open the System Folder and find the Extensions Folder. Next find and open the Printer Descriptions folder.  Move the TK8200DP.PPD file from your desktop to the Printer Descriptions folder.  Close the folders that you opened.

4.  Go to the Chooser and select Laserwriter 8 on the left-hand side.  In the right-hand box, scroll down and select Tek8200.  Click on Setup (or Create).

You can now close the Chooser.

5.  Highlight the Tek8200 on your desktop.  Go to the menu bar on the top of your desktop and select Printing: Change Setup.  The following window should open:

In the Change: box, select Optional Extra Trays then change the setting in the To: box to One Extra Tray.

The Tek8200 is now installed

Duplex Printing

When you are printing a document and you want to print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing), select print in whatever program you are using.  Select the Tek8200 and then go to the Layout options tab.

Click on the Box next to Print on Both Sides to enable duplex printing.
