The UW School of Veterinary Medicine makes every effort to stay connected with a wide variety of people who play an important role in helping the organization achieve its goals. As part of this effort, the school produces and distributes several publications in both print and digital formats.
On Call
The school’s flagship publication, On Call is produced tri-annually (spring, summer, and winter) for friends of the UW School of Veterinary Medicine. It includes the latest news on the school’s ground-breaking research; world-class faculty, staff, and students; exceptional alumni; and outstanding donors, as well as other news about what’s going on at the school. More.
Dean’s Message
To foster internal communication throughout the school, Dean Mark D. Markel sends a digital message to faculty, staff, students, the Board of Visitors, and other key individuals each month. The message highlights key events; major changes; faculty, staff, and student accomplishments; and other school news. Those interested in learning in greater detail about what is going on at the school can read the message online.
Alumni E-news
A digital newsletter sent every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) to alumni of the school’s DVM and Ph.D./Master’s programs. This publication keeps alumni up to date on school news most relevant to them as well as news on their classmates. More.
Comparatively Speaking
A bi-annual newsletter for alumni of the Veterinary Science and the Comparative Biomedical Sciences graduate programs. More.
Dairy Teaching Herd Newsletter
A newsletter for donors to the Dr. Leland Allenstein Dairy Teaching Herd. More.
Annual Reports
Each year, the school produces an annual report detailing its accomplishments and future goals. More.
