Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital - Small Animal Expansion

Based on 20 years of experience of working in our community, combined with the changing demands society is making of veterinary medicine, we aimed to design a Small Animal Hospital capable of accommodating a caseload of 30,000 patients annually. This means we need to expand current programs and services as well as add new facilities. We envision:
Primary Care Clinic
Offering the highest quality of pet care while providing learning opportunities for future veterinarians
Emergency Clinic
When care is needed right now, the personnel and facilities are ready
Clinical Research Center
To keep striving for new and better solutions to animal health problems
Special Species Clinic
Serving unusual pets such as birds, reptiles, or small mammals
Distance Learning and Education Center
Maintaining the veterinarian’s knowledge long after they finish school
Computerized Clinical Classrooms
Bringing the latest learning techniques to our students
Integrated Modern Imaging Facility
All the latest imaging modalities available to help diagnose your pet’s problem
Dentistry Suite
Beyond teeth cleaning, full mouth care to keep pets comfortable and healthy
Some of these are long overdue accommodations for exciting new programs that we have already established in cramped and inadequate spaces, while others can only be started when this new hospital becomes a reality. It’s also crucial that we leave space for growth and development of new ideas and programs that are beyond our current vision, but that will be critical in our future.
Through architectural design features, we intend this building to inspire both those who will work there, and those who will come seeking our help. We envision a facility that emphasizes the quality of our program and our staff.
