Pathobiological Sciences

The Department of Pathobiological Sciences has a faculty and staff of approximately seventy-five. Departmental faculty members are responsible for teaching:

The faculty are also responsible for diagnostic services in anatomical and clinical pathology, immunology, and microbiology for the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.

Faculty have numerous research programs with primary emphasis on infectious, neoplastic, and immune mediated diseases. Collaborative research among faculty in the department, the Medical School, and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is encouraged and many of the faculty hold dual appointments in other departments on campus.

The department's graduate students are enrolled in numerous campus-wide graduate programs. The department has faculty who have recently received recognition for outstanding accomplishments in research or teaching and many of the faculty are recognized nationally and internationally as experts in their specialties.

Departmental faculty serve on numerous editorial boards of professional journals, grant review panels and special national and international research commitees and hold offices on campus commitees and national professional organizations.
