Each year, the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine offers a Holiday Card as a unique and thoughtful gift for animal lovers. Proceeds ensure that animals continue to benefit from the latest health advancements by allowing the school to enhance facilities and services to better serve animals, their owners, and students. Local talented artists have been extremely kind in donating their works and this year’s artist, Georgene Pomplun is no exception. If you are familiar with Pomplun’s work, you will feel the warmth and understanding she has for many animals.
For a suggested $10.00 donation per card, the UW School of Veterinary Medicine will send your choice of recipients a holiday greeting card where proceeds benefit cats, dogs, horses, cows and other animals.
Recipients receive a full-color card with a message stating that a donation was made in their name to the School of Veterinary Medicine.
The cards make ideal holiday gifts for veterinarians, friends, family, people’s pets, or for anyone that loves animals. Proceeds ensure that animals continue to benefit from the latest health advancements by allowing the school to enhance facilities and services to better serve animals, their owners, and students.

About the Artist
Georgene Pomplun and her husband Tom live with their dog Mojo in an old farmhouse in rural Dane County, so paintings abound at every turn. The beautiful old barns in central and southern Wisconsin are favorite subjects, and her neighbors’ horses and cows are patient and willing models. You can see her work at Fanny Garver Gallery in Madison and at Edgewood Orchard Galleries in Door County, or online at www.fannygarvergallery.com and www.edgewoodorchard.com.
