Advisory Board Update - Spring 2010

With advice from the inaugural alumni advisory board, late last year the Alumni Advisory Board was tasked with focusing on two areas:  social (e.g., keeping classmates connected, ensuring that alumni functions are what alumni want them to be, etc.) and academic/professional (e.g., involvement with students, sharing best practices with each other, etc.)  To better coordinate and communicate, the large advisory board was scaled back to a core group under the leadership of Diane Larsen (DVM 90, PhD 99).  Alumni interested in being a part of the advisory board or working on alumni initiatives can email alumniboard@vetmed.wisc.edu. 

In summer 2010 the advisory board will be surveying SVM alumni to find out how the board can best represent them.  Alumni – please be on the look out for that survey.  Of course, feedback and suggestions are always welcome and can be directed to the advisory board at the address above or to Kristi Thorson, director of alumni and donor relations, at kvthorson@vetmed.wisc.edu or 608/265-9692.
